Dr. Nathifa Smith, DDS is a board-certified pediatric dentist who is passionate about providing exceptional dental care to newborns, toddlers, young children, and teens. With her compassionate, fun, and professional approach, Dr. Smith creates a sense of trust with each patient, ensuring that they feel comfortable and cared for during their dental visits.

Dr. Smith understands the importance of building trust with parents, as they are the ultimate nurturers for their children. In addition to her board certification, Dr. Smith is a certified laser dentist with extensive experience performing tongue-tie release surgery using the Solea carbon dioxide laser. She also provides oral inhalation and IV sedation for patients in the office, and has hospital privileges at Children’s Hospital to perform pediatric dentistry using general anesthesia in the operating room.

Awards and Affiliations

Dr. Smith is committed to excellence and is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She has received the distinction of Diplomat by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Smith attended Florida State University majoring in Biology, then went to earn her degree in Dentistry from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Immediately following dental school she then went on to obtain her specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry from Howard University in Washington D.C where she received exceptional training in dentistry for children with special needs through a special program at a Hospital for Sick Children in Washington, DC. Additionally, her residency at Howard University included extensive training on psychological behavior management, dental oral sedation, and treatment under general anesthesia.
